During summertime fun, taxes may be the furthest thing from your mind. However, several activities that are common during the summer months may help you qualify for valuable tax credits and deductions that can reduce your tax liabilities and even result in a tax refund next year.

As a final reminder, if you received an automatic extensions to file you 2018 federal income tax returns, the October 15 filing deadline is right around the corner. While you may not have earned enough money from a summer job last year to require the filing of a tax return, you still may want to file to get a refund of any income tax your employer withheld.
