MIAMI, August 3, 2026 – Baker Tilly x Berkowitz Pollack Brant today announced the promotion of 54 firm members in recognition of their outstanding leadership, professional achievements and dedication to delivering exceptional client service. The promotions include five new managing directors:
Patrick Duynstee has more than 25 years of experience advising private equity firms, business owners and multinational organizations on mergers and acquisitions, financial due diligence, value creation strategies and post-acquisition integration.
Yovanny Hernandez provides federal and state tax compliance and consulting services to business owners and high-net-worth individuals, with particular expertise serving clients in the commercial real estate and professional services sectors.
Alex Keneiby specializes in real estate taxation, advising developers, investors, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals on complex partnership structures, Opportunity Zone investments, joint ventures and strategic tax planning. He works closely with clients navigating sophisticated real estate transactions and maximizing tax efficiencies.
Brendan Kurpis provides federal and state tax planning, consulting and compliance services to high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses and professional service firms. His areas of expertise include pass-through entity taxation, multistate tax matters, income and estate planning, and tax controversy services.
Cherry Laufenberg has more than 20 years of experience providing tax planning, compliance and consulting services to corporations, pass-through entities, trusts and foreign entities. She advises clients across the construction, real estate, manufacturing, investment fund and retail sectors on corporate structuring, multistate compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and other complex tax matters.
