Richard Berkowitz Named Treasurer of The Miami Foundation

MIAMI, FL, May 30, 2017 – Berkowitz Pollack Brant Advisors and Accountants’ Founding and Executive Chairman Richard A. Berkowitz, JD, CPA, has been named treasurer of The Miami Foundation Board of Trustees. Through its 50 year history, The Miami Foundation has created more than 1,000 philanthropic funds and currently manages more than $300 million in assets.

Berkowitz is a long-time business leader and professional. The advisory and accounting firm he founded in 1980 is an Accounting Today and Inside Public Accounting Top 100 firm and one of the largest in Florida.

A devoted community leader, Berkowitz currently serves on the board of The Miami Foundation and the executive committee of the Broward Workshop. He is a past chairman of the Dolphins Cancer Challenge, the Community Foundation of Broward and Take Stock in Children’s state board. Berkowitz has been honored for his community service by Leadership Broward, the University of Miami and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
